This conference presents the highlights of the Social Acceptability Barometer – Canadian Mining Sector 2025, conducted by Transfert Environnement et Société and Voconiq.

Description

In the context of the 2023-2028 Northern Action Plan, where mining development plays a key role in creating economic value and attracting investment, social acceptability is a strategic factor in the success of projects. This conference presents the highlights of the Social Acceptability Barometer – Canadian Mining Sector 2025, conducted by Transfert Environnement et Société and Voconiq.
Based on nearly 5,000 respondents across Canada, the Barometer provides rigorous insight into public perceptions of the mining sector, including expectations regarding governance, economic benefits, and community relations.
The presentation will highlight regional differences, drivers of trust, and social risks that may influence the planning, financing, and implementation of mining projects in Quebec.
Aimed at developers, investors, public decision-makers, and Plan Nord partners, this conference aims to equip stakeholders to more effectively integrate social acceptability into their development, risk management, and long-term value creation strategies.
